Satan had to seek God’s permission to harass Job. The Lord gave permission for a specific purpose – He won’t give permission now. God’s salvation is our shield against the devil. If we stay close to God, the devil can’t touch us. He can only tempt us to come out from the Lord’s covering – that is the blood of Jesus.
What does the blood of Jesus do for us?
- It brings us to a place of salvation. Our sins are remitted – that means washed away and forgotten forever.
- It brings peace and strength.
- It Delivers out of the clutches of the enemy.
- It grants us access to God’s throne.
- It cleanses our consciences and thoughts.
- It provides the promise of a new day and keeps on working.
- It provides healing.
- It provides a witness for abiding life, Jesus Christ, in our lives.
