There are three keys to the Kingdom of God in our lives: Faith, Hope and Love. There is a natural hope in the world, but it will disappoint. We will be bound to whomever or whatever we put our hope in – putting our hope and trust in the world or in people is putting our hope in something that is unstable. By contrast, putting hope in God is putting hope in someone who cannot and will not change – He is stable.
The Apostle Paul wrote about an earnest expectation of deliverance from his circumstances. This is the foundation of hope. How do we get there?
- We need to get tired of being bound up in our circumstances.
- Find promises in God’s Word and latch on. Meditate on the Word.
Having hope in God is the worst thing from the devil’s perspective. He wants to turn us to a place of fear – if we place our hope in God, we cannot be moved into that place.
