Entering God’s Rest – Part IV

Today’s Rest: A rest from worries and cares of everyday living, knowing that we can rest in the Lord’s arms. When we’re free of cares and worries of this life, we can be at peace and rest.

Most of our battles and turmoil and are fought in our minds, wills and emotions – our souls. To achieve rest for our souls, we need to come to Christ and take upon ourselves His yoke. Our selfish desires, for things of the world and to have our own way cause war and strife. Peace and rest come from submission to the Lord. He is our shepherd – He will lead and guide us into a place where we are safe and our needs are all met.

There will be war between the flesh and the Spirit – submitting to God will cause some suffering, but God promises to strengthen and settle us!
