Houses are built through wisdom and understanding. We need to have God’s wisdom and understanding of His Word in order to understand the blueprints and to execute them correctly. Many times we attempt to build our lives in Christ based on our worldly experiences. We cannot build a life in Christ successfully based upon our own wisdom and understanding. Basing our lives on our own understanding is subject to ever-changing circumstances of life. This is basing our lives on sifting sand.
Hope is the blueprint for our lives. Blueprints are a representation of a plan and desire for a building. Hope is a plan and a desire for our lives. When building a natural building, not just anyone can come up with a set of blueprints – it takes an architect. The architect knows everything that needs to go into a building and what is required for stability. Likewise with our lives, Jesus is the architect that creates the blueprint for our lives – He knows how to set our lives up such that they will be healthy and prosperous. He has already created a set of blueprints for our lives. He has a plan for us, to bring us peace and not evil.
Hope is essential to life itself. The worst part of being in hell is utter hopelessness. Job asked “where then is my hope?” It needs to be in Christ and His resurrection and that He made a way for us to spend eternity with Him. Like David, when he lost hope, we need to encourage ourselves in the Lord.
If we keep our hope in the Lord, He will keep us, no matter how hard the battle is.
