When we have a problem in life, we don’t go and invite a stranger in to fix it. We can’t invite the Holy Spirit in to fix our lives if we don’t trust Him. If we don’t trust Him, we won’t allow Him to dig deeply into our lives and get at root issues. We will also get discouraged when things take longer than we want them to. We learn to trust Him based on experience and knowledge. This comes by having a relationship. This relationship will cause us to become new creations in Christ – our will comes into alignment with God’s, our emotions become more Godly and we gain knowledge.
We can see the Holy Spirit working in the past:
- He was there during creation – He was hovering over the earth before the Father spoke any form into it.
- He was there when God came to earth in the form of Jesus.
We see that when He is present, He brings forth newness and life into a situation. By being in a relationship with Him, we will see the Holy Spirit bringing forth newness and restoration into our lives. This transformation of our lives is meant to glorify God.
In the future, the Holy Spirit will transform our physical bodies into new, glorified bodies that can live in heaven. He will also bring forth a new earth and a new heaven out of the destruction and chaos from the Tribulation.
