The Lord has set us free from bondage, but we will remain in bondage in our minds as long as we don’t understand the love of the Father. We can endure anything if we have love at work in our lives. If we have to do something that we don’t want to do, we can ask the Lord to help us to love doing the thing so that we do it with a better attitude. When there are people in the body of Christ that we don’t want to be around, we should ask the Father to help us love them with His love.
If our lives are built on the love of God, we will have stability. Whatever comes our way will not be able to move us. If our lives are built upon other things, they will come crashing down.
Just as God gave His love freely to us, we need to give our love to others. If we hold onto it, it will not benefit us. We cannot be selective about who we give this love to. Other people may not be able to receive our love, but that is because they are not free enough to receive it. We cannot put conditions on God’s love for us either – just because He hasn’t done what we want does not mean that He does not love us.
