Satan is still active and adversarial, but he can’t attack and destroy the lives of believers without permission. We need to be on guard – the devil was able to snare one of the twelve who walked with Jesus personally into doing his will. If we aren’t wise and on guard, we too could be snared.

One of his goals is to remain hidden. He doesn’t want anyone to know he exists – doing anything that could expose him will probably invite an attack.

It is important that we don’t fear the devil, but we need to be aware of him. Unlike God, he’s not all-powerful, all-seeing or all-knowing. He’s not capable of creating anything – he can only copy what God has already done.
