The Revelation of Jesus is a blessing to those who read, hear and keep it. There is much wisdom that can be gained from the letters to the seven churches in Asia. We need to have spiritual ears to hear what the Spirit is saying through the Word in order for it to have an impact on our lives.
The church at Ephesus:
- They were doing a lot of good works.
- They did not tolerate evil in their midst.
- They tested those who claimed to be apostles but weren’t.
- They persevered, they weren’t weary.
- Despite all of this, they were in danger of losing the Glory of God because they left their first love.
- They got caught up in the things of the world and were distracted from God.
- By His grace, the Lord told the church that if they overcome, they will be allowed to partake of the tree of life.
