The Millennial Reign is the one thousand year period during which Jesus physically establishes His kingdom on the earth. Satan will be bound in the pit for a thousand years and the saints will reign with Him. There will also be many people still on the earth who survived the Tribulation – it is over those people that Christ’s government will be established. Upon setting up His throne, Jesus will bring judgment upon the nations, separating the sheep from the goats. He will judge based upon whether we followed His commandments with love.
During this time, many things will be as they were originally established in the Garden of Eden.
- Neither animals and will be predators – there won’t be any more hunting and killing. Creatures that were considered dangerous, such as vipers, will no longer be threats to people.
- Lifespans will be similar to what they were before the Great Flood – someone would be considered a child at 100 years old.
