The only thing that is required for a prosperous soul is God’s love. Love is the greatest force in the life of the believer. Loving the brethren is the indicator that we have moved from death into life. If we cannot abide in love, we cannot abide in death.
God’s love is what keeps us from being consumed in His wrath. His love in us is also what enables us to love one another. He knows that we are not capable of loving the brethren to the degree that He desires, therefore He pours His love out into us. All we need is the willing heart and He will give us the tools to obey.
We are also called to love the sinners. Loving the sinner does not mean that we accept their sins as normal.
The love of God is so deep and expansive that there is no way to fully comprehend it with our natural minds. When we are yoked up to His love, sin, sickness, poverty and death cannot work in our lives.
We can increase in love by following the laws of sowing and reaping. If we give the love that we have, we will reap a harvest of increased love. Increasing in love allows us to increase in grace and peace.
