As we begin to walk in the abundant life of God, we should expect opposition to come against us. The abundant life begins by first honoring God. He chastised the Israelites for prioritizing worldly and natural things over rebuilding His temple and thus honoring Him. Despite trying to do things purely in the natural, the people were still in poverty – there was not enough to eat or drink, the money they earned was never enough. We need to resist our natural inclinations and consider our ways.
