New Creations in Christ

The Word tells us that we are new creations in Christ and that all things have been made new. We are washed clean by the blood of Jesus. In practice there may be some stains in our lives that are still there, however the Lord is working them out of our lives.

The prosperity that we need comes by waking in the Spirit. When we walk in the Spirit, we do not fulfill the lusts of our flesh. Walking in the flesh will not produce life and prosperity – the flesh produces additional demands. We can’t just add Jesus to our lives – we have to be in Him. When we get into the swimming pool, we don’t just add some water to our lives – we immerse ourselves in the water.

When Christ comes into our lives, He breaths life into us. Just like when God created mankind physically in the Garden of Eden, he took something that was lifeless, dead and dark and breathed His life into it, creating life. This is the essence of the transformation – bringing life to us where we had only death. The best part of it is that He’s not finished with us yet! As He continues to work in us, His goodness will shine out of our lives, not all the things we’ve done wrong. God does not see the process, but rather the final, finished product. We need to keep our eyes on the final product not the process being used to get us there.
