Jesus and His disciples went through a storm while crossing the lake. The disciples were terrified that they were going to perish. Jesus was at peace the whole time and He slept while they panicked. When the disciples finally came to Him and awoke Him, He did not condemn them. He gave them a rebuke in love and calmed the storm. Jesus desires to take us over to the other side, just as He took the disciples to the other side. His expectation is that we would have faith and believe Him to bring us safely over. As long as Jesus is with us, the storm cannot hurt us. As long as we never quit, we never fail.
