How to Stay Connected to God – Part IV

Key Points

  • Examine yourself – see if you are in the faith.
    • Are you operating in the connection you have with Christ, or out of your own strength?
    • Are you operating out of an attitude of love?
  • There are things in our lives that will hinder God’s ability to move in us.
    • If He’s hindered from moving through us to bless others, He will be hindered from moving in us to bless us.
  • The Lord is the one who keeps us connected to Himself – we don’t keep ourselves connected.
    • He chose us before the foundations of the world.
    • He also draws us to Him.
    • He desires to remove those things that hinder us from doing His will. He doesn’t want us to be spending all of our time laboring in this world for provision, but rather working His Kingdom.
    • When we accept Jesus as Savior, we become a new branch on the vine (Jesus)
      • The vine is the source of life for the branch, not the other way around.
      • As we mature in the things of God, fruit begins to grow from our branch and people desire to eat of that fruit.
