If we live by the flesh, we will die by the flesh. If we live by the Spirit, we will live by the Spirit. Living by the Spirit means that we need to hear His voice.
As born again believers, we know His voice and need to make the choice to listen. The first thing that we need to do to hear His voice, is to let our old man die. That means we need to let our fleshly wants and desires die, otherwise they will be louder and more clear than the Lord’s voice. We need to remove anything that does not come from the spiritual realm from our lives.
God told Joshua that He had given Israel the land – they only had to cross over the Jordan and possess it. The Lord didn’t want them to work for the land, but to be at rest. It’s the same with our lives – His plan is that we would be at rest with Him, not struggling for our provision.
The key to getting where God wants us is to meditate constantly on God’s Word. When we meditate constantly on His Word, He will make our way prosperous.
