Our Identity in Christ

Guest Speaker: Apostle William Epps

  • Our challenge is our soul.
    • There is not a circumstance or situation in which our soul is not required to make a decision.
    • The natural mind
      • Imagination
      • Intellect
      • Thought
      • Logic
      • Reasoning
      • In the Kingdom, we need to operate by faith, not by the natural mind
    • Our will
      • Decisions
      • Choice
      • Intent
      • Purposes
      • Desire
        • Not all desires are from the Lord
        • He will give us His desires as we grow closer to Him.
        • When we pray for our desire and it does not come to pass, it’s because our desire does not line up with His
      • Our will needs to be sanctified and brought into alignment with God’s will to operate in the Kingdom
    • Our emotions
      • The Lord is not moved by our emotions.
        • We cannot invoke His mercy through tears.
        • He is moved by agreement with His Word, in faith.
  • Our Identity
    • Bloodline inheritance that we took on when we came to Christ
      • The Kingdom of God belongs to us by blood
      • He put the DNA of Jesus in us through the blood
        • In order to allow this DNA to work in our lives, our souls must be in alignment with God
          • This just means our souls need to agree with God
            • This comes by having an ingrafted Word from the Spirit transplanted into the area of our lives where we are having trouble.
          • Our spirits are already in agreement with God
    • Jesus gave us the right and power to become Sons
      • Our minds must be renewed. We are not to conform to the world.
        • This comes through the Word of God
        • We are to appear as Jesus
          • The Word is the only thing that is strong enough to root out the parts of our soul that are not from God.
          • When the Word becomes a living revelation, it will change circumstances.
            • This comes through meditation on the Word until it becomes part of us
    • We are born into and working in a mystery
      • God is trying to reconcile our spirits and our souls together to make one man
      • This can only happen as our soul is renewed by the Word of God.
    • The Kingdom requires that we see, understand and walk in our inheritance
      • Our soul has to be enlightened – it needs revelation
    • We are always going to be in a process of change
    • Don’t touch anything that is contrary to God’s Word & Will
    • Let God make you into who you really are
