If we can get our souls in agreement with our spirits our bodies will follow. We have a tendency to create God in our image in our minds. We insist that we know better than the Father. It is essential that our minds be renewed. If they are not, then they will lead us into the traps that are set before us.
- Have a willing and pliable heart.
- Avoid meditating on the evil things of the world that just cause stress and anxiety.
God will not withold any good thing from us. Is it possible that the things we’re chasing and not getting aren’t so good? Or is it possible that now is not the time for it? Jesus came to bring abun dant life to us. He doesn’t want us to just scrape by, but he wants us to have an overflow. The overflow brings Him the glory and allows us to reach others. He wants us to show His goodness to the unsaved, not to condemn them or become the Law to them.
To achieve God’s best, we need to give Him our best. We can’t bring Him the leftovers of our lives. As we increase in knowledge of God – that is relational knowledge not just book knowledge, we get an increase in grace. This grace is the unmerited favor of God. As we increase in this grace, we will bring our prayers to Him and we can know that it is done. The increase of peace is also coupled to the increase of grace and knowledge. Lack of peace comes from lack of knowledge.
