Jesus’ desire for our souls is that we can be at peace. When we are at peace, then our souls can prosper since the trials and temptations of the world won’t cause strife and division in our minds. When our adversary (the devil) comes around we have the Word of God with which to resist Him and submit ourselves to God. Because God speaks to us in that still small voice, we need to get into His presence so that we can filter out the noise around us.
