Prospering in Spirit, Soul and Body – Part II

There is nothing good in us apart from Christ in us. The degree to which He manifests in our lives is proportional to the amount of the Word that we have inside of us. Christ did not come so that we could live like the rest of the world. He wants us to have a hope for a future everyday, not to be in constant fear, despair and depression.

Our spirits have already been made perfect, when Jesus came into our lives. Our souls, on the other hand, need to be renewed. In their natural states, our souls are very intent on performing evil. The objective is to bring our souls into alignment with the Spirit of God. When we bring our souls into alignment, that is how the goodness of God is manifested in our lives. When the goodness of God is manifested in our lives, then His light can shine through us. In the end days, perilous and stressful times will come. God wants to show the peace, safety, provision, love and acceptance that the world is looking for though us.

Consider this. In this day and age we are very conscious of what kinds of food we eat and of the physical health of our body. What if we were as concerned about what we feed our souls? Do we think about what we put in to our minds?

God will not force us to stop doing things our way. Instead, He shows us a better way to do things and leaves it up to us to choose.
