Christ Must (or the Best of Us)

What are the focal points of our Jesus-centered celebration of Christmas?

    1. The birth of Christ: His birth on this earth meant that we were able to be born again ourselves. When He was born, he was called Immanuel – God is with us.
    2. Wise men: We can be the wise men when we follow His commands.
    3. Angels: They are there to minister to us. We also never know when we may encounter them and should entertain them.
    4. A Tree: The Christmas tree is symbolic of the cross. Scripture refers to the cross as a tree. We put lights on the tree – Christ is the light of the world. Red decorations on the tree symbolize the blood of Christ, which washes all our sins away.
    5. Exchange of Gifts: Jesus gives us many good gifts:
      1. Grace & truth
      2. Living Water
      3. The Holy Spirit
      4. The perfect example
      5. His Word
      6. His glory
      7. True bread
      8. Eternal life

In exchange, He wants our bodies & lives as gifts.

    6. Family
    7. New Beginnings
