The Promise of Being with Christ

Jesus has promised us that where He is, we will be. He left to establish a place for us in Heaven, with the Father. He has promised that He will return to bring us to that place. It is important to remember that just because He said these words two thousand years ago does not mean that He’s forgotten about it, or that He will fail to keep the promise. His promises are “yea and amen” – or “yes and so be it”. We will inherit this promise just as Abraham did – with faith and patience.

Our part to play is to watch and pray. When Jesus does return, He wants to see us about the Father’s business, not about following our own agendas. We are to purify ourselves from the world. It’s impossible to do this ourselves – we need to ask the Holy Spirit for His assistance. We don’t know the hour of the Lord’s return – therefore be steadfast!
