Allowing God to Order our Footsteps – Part II

Ultimately we will leave this world. Our time here needs to be spent preparing to be standing physically in the presence of the Lord Jesus. We cannot fear losing our natural lives or missing out on things of this world. Jesus said that if we seek to save our lives we will lose them. He also told us that if we know Him and have a deep relationship with Him we will do great and mighty works – even greater than those of Jesus.

Waiting upon the Lord is of the utmost importance. He says that we inherit the promises through faith and patience. The enemy convinces us that we need to have things quickly and immediately. That, in turn, causes us to do things ourselves on our own timelines that do not have an end result as good as what God would have us do. God’s plan may not come on the timeline that we desire, but it always comes with peace instead of sorrow, bondage and grief.

The results of following God’s plan for our lives will be an overflow of love. He will continually pour it into us, like water into a glass. It will have no choice but to overflow. God’s love will overflow out of us to all around us, regardless of how they are towards us.

The Father gives us the wisdom and revelation of how to build our lives. Just as He gave Moses the plans to build the Tabernacle – a copy of what was already in heaven, He gives us the plans to build our own lives. He will also work with us to construct our lives – however we need to invite Him in and ask Him. He has given us authority and won’t intervene without invitation.

As wisdom builds our lives, understanding establishes it. Understanding is the assurance that we are being guided by Godly wisdom. It comes through the revelation of God’s wisdom. Knowledge, finishes the rooms – that is it finishes the work that God begins. Our walk will never be complete without it.
